TOOR DAL + SPRING ONION PALYA


Ingredients:-

Toor dal - 1 cup
Spring onion -2 bunches
Onion- 1 no.
Green chillies-4 nos.
Curry leaves- 1 string
Cilantro- chopped 1/2 cup
Shredded coconut- 1 cup
Cumin seeds- 1 tsp
Garlic- 2 pods
Garam masala-1 tsp
Oil- 1 tsp
Salt to taste
Mustard seeds- 1/2 tsp

Procedure:-


  • Grind shredded coconut, chillies, cumin seeds, garlic, salt,garam masala together, keep it aside.
  • Heat oil in a pan, add mustard ,curry leaves then add chopped onion, fry till onion turns golden colour.
  • Then add Washed and drained toor dal, add water, cook till dal becomes soft.
  • Now add chopped spring onion and ground paste, cook for 5 minutes.
  • Garnish with cilantro.
  • Serve hot/cold with chapathi/roti.
