RASAM

Ingredients:-

Tomato- 2 nos.
Toor dal- 1/2 cup
Curry leaves- 1 string
Coriander leaves- a fistful
Garlic- 2 pods
Asafoetida/ hing- a pinch
Mustard- 1/2 tsp
Rasam Powder- 2 tsp(MTR preferred)
Salt to taste
Oil to saute- 1 tbsp

Procedure:-
  • Pressure cook toor dal and tomatoes. Mash them together.
  • Heat oil, saute mustard, curry leaves, garlic and hing.
  • Add mashed dal and tomato mix, bring it to boil.
  • Stir in rasam pwdr, salt and chopped coriander leaves.
  • Serve with rice.
